Our Founder

Kind-hearted, dedicated, and knowledgeable in her field, the late Dr. Haifa Mahmood was the Founder and Visionary behind Dr. Haifa Eye Hospital.

Who she is

The Late Dr Haifa Ahmed Mahmood

In terms of her career and profession, the late Dr. Haifa was well-known for her true dedication to work, and for her high-level expertise in Ophthalmology. Within this field of Medicine, Dr. Haifa had a subspecialty fellowship in Glaucoma, Corneal Transplants, and Vision Correction, as she also had a subspecialty fellowship in Cataract Treatment. In addition to that, she had a Diploma in Healthcare Management, among many other certificates in Ophthalmology. As for her personality, Dr. Haifa was well-known for her gracious heart and her positive demeanor, both of which left an impression in the minds and hearts of her patients. In general, all of these factors were the building blocks which founded the Dr. Haifa Eye Hospital, and distinguished it from all the other hospitals, until this very day.

Dr. Haifa started practicing Medicine after graduating from the King Saud University with a Bachelors degree in Medicine and Surgery, and opened her own clinic, which she then developed to a center, and eventually to a hospital. When the hospital was officially inaugurated in 2011, it was a dream come true, as it meant that she was able to assist more people to heal and get better, through the various services that the hospital offered.

Dr. Haifa is no longer with us, but her spirit continues to inspire those working at the hospital, and her memory continues to live in the hearts of people; her patients, her colleagues, and her family.
